Will is a PhD student in the Quantitative & Applied Ecology Group at the University of Melbourne, Australia. The subject of his PhD is decision-making and planning for forest and woodland management with multiple objectives.

A focus of his work is the value of information to decision making in these systems. His background is in applied statistics and forest ecology. He graduated a M.Phil. which was titled "Bayesian models of tree mortality" in 2012.
